Halal Recipe for Pad Thai Noodle

Pad Thai Noodle
is a rice noodle dish cooked with bean sprouts, eggs, shrimp and stir-fried Thai spices. The bean sprouts provide a crunchy texture along with the soft, chewy rice noodles.

It was first introduced during the Ayutthaya kingdom, by Vietnamese traders, but many believe that this food originated from China. Plaek Phibunsongkhram, is the prime minister of Thailand who intends to elevate Pad Thai as a Thai identity by eliminating its Chinese influence, namely wheat noodles, so the result is Sen Chan, noodles made from rice flour which are used as the main ingredient in making Pad Thai, easy to cook. The main ingredients have a lot of fiber and nutrients.

Halal Recipe for Pad Thai Noodle

Materials:
- 300 grams of pad thai noodles (rice noodles), or can be replaced with dry kwetiau, soaked in warm water until soft
- 200 g of peeled shrimp
- 250 g white tofu, cut into matchsticks, fried half cooked
- 200 g bean sprouts, wash clean
- 20 pieces of chives, cut into 5 cm pieces
- 5 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 5 pcs shallots, finely chopped
- Cooking oil for frying

Seasoning ingredient:
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 15 tbsp fish sauce
- 20 g of tamarind, soak in 10 tbsp of hot water, knead, take the water

Supplementary material:
- 1 pc lime
- 2 tablespoons fried coral
- 3 pieces of cayenne pepper, roughly chopped, mix with fish sauce to taste

How to make Pad Thai Noodle :
1. Heat the oil, saute garlic and shallots until fragrant.
2. Add shrimp, cook until shrimp change color.
3. Enter the tofu and rice noodle, mix well.
4. Add seasoning ingredients, stir again until blended.
5. Enter the bean sprouts and chives, stir briefly.
6. Serve with complementary ingredients.
