larb is usually made with selected basic ingredients of duck, chicken, beef, fish, etc. Seasoned with fresh herbs and lime juice and fish sauce.
Larb is served with fresh raw vegetables and sticky rice. This dish is usually served as breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Halal Recipe for Laotian Larb
Materials :
- 1/2 kg minced beef
- 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- as needed Salt and sugar
- 1 handful thai basil (sy: basil)
- 1 handful of mint leaves
- 1 handful of coriander leaves
- 4 pieces of culantro leaves (smells like coriander leaves but sharper, can be replaced with coriander leaves only)
- enough Lettuce lettuce
Sliced Seasoning
- 4 cloves of red onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 onion
- 2 large red chilies
- 2 lime leaves
How to make Larb:
- Prepare ingredients and seasonings
- Saute the sliced spices until fragrant
- Add the meat, cook until it changes color and is grainy, add the soy sauce, lime juice and spices, mix well.
- Finally add the herbs, turn off the heat, mix well. Serve with lettuce leaves.
